2.2 Newsletter subscription

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Purpose: to send you occasional updates about ELECREST products and news. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email, with no effect on processing already carried out.

2.3 Job applications

If you apply for a position, we process the personal data you send us (currently by email; in the future via an application form with CV attachment), such as your name, contact details, and the information contained in your CV and application.

Purpose: to assess your application and manage our recruitment process. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into an employment contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); and, where applicable, your consent to keep your data on file (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

2.4 Website usage and analytics

When you visit our website, certain data is processed automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and time of access.

  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4) is only activated after you give consent via our cookie banner. For details on cookies and how to manage your preferences, see our Cookie Policy. Legal basis for analytics: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

3. Who we share your data with (Recipients / Processors)

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (“processors”) that help us operate our business, and with our affiliated company, as described below. All processors act on our instructions under a data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28).

4. International transfers of personal data

Some recipients are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), or may access your data from outside the EEA. Where this happens, we ensure an appropriate level of protection as required by the GDPR (Chapter V):

  • United States (Google LLC): transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), under which Google is certified, supported by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as an additional safeguard.
  • China (our affiliated company, and access by our China-headquartered hosting provider): because China is not covered by an EU adequacy decision, we safeguard these transfers using the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) together with a transfer impact assessment and supplementary measures where appropriate.

You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us at info@elecrest.energy.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;

  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances;

7. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including access controls, encryption in transit, and processing agreements with our service providers.

8. Automated decision-making

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.

10. Cookie

To manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consents, we use the consent tool “Real Cookie Banner”. Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found here.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context are Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.
